Corrections Policy
We correct errors openly. A publication that quietly edits its mistakes is asking readers to trust something it will not show them.

Reporting an error
Email editor@wcrcleaders.com with the article URL, the passage in question and, where possible, the source that establishes the correct position.
Requests are acknowledged and assessed on the evidence. A correction does not require the person reporting it to be the subject of the article.
What we change, and how it is shown
- Correction — a factual error. The text is fixed and a note at the foot of the article records what was wrong and when it was changed.
- Clarification — the facts were right but the wording could mislead. The wording is amended and a note explains what was clarified.
- Update — new information has emerged since publication. The article is updated and the modified date changes.
- Silent edits are limited to typography, broken links and formatting. Nothing that alters meaning is changed without a note.
Withdrawal
An article is withdrawn only where it cannot be corrected — for example where its central claim does not hold. A withdrawn article is replaced by a note at the same URL explaining the withdrawal, so that inbound links and citations do not lead to a dead page or, worse, to different content.
Recognition records
Where an error concerns a recognition listing rather than an article, it is handled with the research desk and the listing itself is amended. Recognition may be withdrawn if material adverse information emerges after publication.
Timeliness
Clear factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed. Where a correction depends on a third party supplying evidence, the article is annotated while that is resolved rather than left unmarked.
